Northern Colorado Truck Driving Academy is a state approved 160 hour Class “A” Tractor / Trailer training school. We are the only two-on-one truck driving school currently in Colorado. 2 students, 2 trucks and 2 instructors. NCTDA's 4 week (160 hr) Course will cost: $4495.00, and financial assistance available, WAC.
At NCTDA We Live By Our mission statement “We Don’t Succeed Until You Do”
4 weeks (160 hours) as follows:
1st Week: Home Study with our training manual = 40 hrs.
2nd Week: Classroom mornings daily from 8 till noon. Range training daily at the Airport from 12:30 PM till 4:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. Classroom 20 hours.
Friday morning at 8:00 AM you will be in the classroom till about 10:00 AM doing a review of all the quizzes you have been taking all week as homework. About 10 AM we cut you loose to go to DMV and take all your endorsement tests to obtain your Class “A” CDL Instructional Permit.
3rd and 4th Weeks: Range training Monday & Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an half hour lunch.
Range Training 90 hours
Weds & Thurs one student on the road from 8:00 AM till Noon and the other student is on the road from 12:30 PM till 4:30 PM.
Road Driving 10 hours
Friday your back at the Range (Test site) to hone everything together for your test the next day. With two students, two trucks and two instructors, you WILL BE READY to test on Saturday.
